Another of my old songs 'stripped for parts’, the 1998 bones of this one needed only a fresh set of lyrics to finally come together. You know what they say, write what you know. And if you can do it with a smile on your face that’s pretty good too. After 25 years of my solo pursuit, I figured it was high time I coaxed my better half to join me in a duet. The recording session, which at the outset threatened to be akin to hanging wallpaper as a couple, surprisingly, turned out to be a much more coöperative experience. It reminded me of Sir Paul making sure to include Linda in the family business. In so many ways, this one hits very close to home.
