Fans of Alistair MacLean may dig this Week Three output from my brief Covid furlough. On the album, this is where the vinyl would have just been flipped. As a massive fan of Pepper, I used a tamboura drone as a tiny homage to George’s left turn - ‘Within You, Without You’. I think there may be a little nod to Tangerine Dream in there, too. A palate cleanser of sorts from the A Side songs, this is also the one you will hear over the p.a. when the arena suddenly goes dark, just before Funderground hits the stage. (Insert sudden surge of crowd noise here.) Hey, a guy can dream.
